Transport infrastructure is essential for enabling economic activity growth through connecting people, businesses and economies. These were identified as essential routes that require significant development to reduce congestion, unlock economic growth and productivity for New Zealand, and improve transport safety.
The Northern Infrastructure Forum, led by the Auckland Business Chamber, commissioned NZIER to estimate the economic impact of potential state highway investments in the North Island.
