Olivia joined NZIER from Behavioural Science Aotearoa, where she applied behavioural economics principles to solve problems across the justice sector. Before that, she completed a PhD in economics at Victoria University of Wellington, researching the impact of adverse events on student outcomes using the Integrated Data Infrastructure.
Olivia is passionate about making economics more accessible to the general public, and she was previously an economic journalist in the UK, explaining economic ideas and current affairs in everyday language.
