Laëtitia Leroy de Morel
Laëtitia joined NZIER in late 2017. Prior to this, Laëtitia has worked with various international organisations, including the International Food Policy research institute (IFPRI) in Washington, DC and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris. Her work has focused on global agricultural and food policy, water scarcity, the adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices, and the impacts of trade liberalisation.
She has a strong background in economic modelling and model development with both partial and general equilibrium models. At IFPRI, she contributed to the development of the global agricultural model, IMPACT, and worked on its linkages with the OECD’s in-house CGE model, ENV-Linkages. She used both models to analyse synergies and trade-offs between climate change adaptation, greenhouse gas mitigation, and agricultural productivity in developing countries.
