
Ting Huang
Senior Economist
Ting is a Senior Economist at NZIER. She works alongside the Head of Membership Services in delivering NZIER’s long-established Quarterly Predictions and Quarterly Survey of Business Opinion, and macro-economic analysis and forecasts for NZIER’s members and clients. Since joining NZIER, she has worked on economic impact assessments for a range of regional infrastructure investments and undertaken work on topical issues relating to urban development and local government.
Prior to joining NZIER, Ting was a Research Economist at Auckland Council for about 7 years. She had extensive involvement in providing the economic evidence base to inform the Council’s decision-making on key policies, plans and strategies, including the Auckland Unitary Plan, Auckland Plan and NPS-UD work programmes.
Ting enjoys unpacking the stories behind the complex data and issues for people from non-economic backgrounds.
