Nominations for the NZIER Economics Award for 2010 are now closed
The winner of the 2010 NZIER Economics Award will receive a $10,000 travel voucher and $5,000 associated spending money as well as a framed citation and award trophy
The award will be presented at the NZIER AGM and dinner on Tuesday, August 24th 2010.

Background
The NZIER Economics Award promotes and recognises excellence in economics of benefit to New Zealand.
The winner of the award is selected by an independent panel that includes the Governor of the Reserve Bank, President of the NZAE and the Secretary for Treasury (or their nominees), and one representative each from the academic and business communities.
